Hakendover, most beautiful village of Flanders?

Hakendover, aerial photo 3

Hakendover is the little village where Ans grew up.  The village is well-known for the yearly horse procession on Easter Monday.

The village is now selected as one of the semifinalists to earn the title ‘Most beautiful village of Flanders’.  Flanders is the Flemish speaking region in Belgium.

If Hakendover makes it to the final, the village will be represented on the national Belgian television.  The 1220 inhabitants are proud at Hakendover.  It would be nice if you help them by voting on this website.  The site is in Dutch.  But no worries, voting in the semifinal goes in three easy steps:

1. Click on “Stem nu!” in the pink box.
2. Fill in your name, surname and email, select “nee” and click on “stem” in the green box.
3. Click on the link “Klik hier” in the email you receive to confirm your vote.

Voting is open till wednesday 30/04/2008 noon.  It is easy to follow the score on the mainpage.

You are always welcome to discover Hakendover for yourself.  People who live to far away get a better impression through these pictures and a slidshow Ans made in 2006.

Update: Hakendover lost the semi finals.  Anyway, thanks to everybody who voted for our little village.
